Griekse patisseriezaak in Utrecht
Tegenwoordig zijn vrijwel alle Griekse producten in Nederland wel te verkrijgen. Wat ik echt mis als ik in Nederland ben zijn de zacharoplasteia. De Griekse patisseriezaken die je in Griekenland op iedere straathoek kunt vinden. Van de ene kant misschien ook beter, voor de lijn is zo’n patisseriezaak niet echt goed.
Tot voorkort reed ik naar Dusseldorf als ik echt zin had in een grieks stukje gebak. Dat hoeft niet meer sinds ik Meraki Utrecht heb gevonden.
Wat biedt Meraki Utrecht?
Meraki Utrecht draagt een prachtige naam. Het woord passie zou misschien de beste vertaling zijn, maar voor mij gevol dekt het niet helemaal de lading.
De ‘meraki’ spat er vanaf in Utrecht. Het is een prachtig ingerichte zaak die niet voldoet aan alle cliche Griekse zaken in Nederland. Het is een patisseriezaak zoals je in Griekenland vindt. Stijlvol met een knipoog naar Griekenland.
De patisseriezaak opende in januari 2022 dus hij is gloedjenieuw.
Profiterol, rokakia, pastes, bougatsa, siropiasta
Je vindt bij Meraki Utrecht een hoop heerlijkheden zoals je die in een patisseriezaak in Griekenland vindt. Profiterol, rokakia, pastes, bougatsa, siropiasta. Noem het maar op en Meraki Utrecht heeft het. Het stukje zoetigeheid wat mij echt terugbrengt naar mijn jeugd zijn de pondikakia (muisjes). Een stukje Grieks gebak wat er uit ziet als een muisje. Deze heb ik voor mijn jongens meegenomen naar huis. Stiekem ook uiteraard voor mezelf.
Naast alle Griekse zoetigheid vind je ook Freddo en freddo capuccino. En echt hallelujah voor dat. Geen betere combi dan een freddo met zoetigheid. Nog zoiets die we op meer plekken in Nederland zouden moeten kunnen krijgen.
Redenen genoeg om Meraki Utrecht te bezoeken. Je vindt Meraki op de Amsterdamsestraatweg 336. Je kunt vast een kijkje nemen op hun instagram pagina.
